This week saw me attend a live gig for a band from BIMM Birmingham, only to catch the last three bars of their set, but I had fun stopping there to photograph the remaining bands that were playing in the Night Owl, Birmingham.
The third shoot in a collaboration between ourselves at University of Wolverhampton and BIMM University Birmingham. The band, Wooden Dog, were performing at The Spice Of Life in London’s Soho area, and I was there to take photos of them for my brief on Level 5 of the degree in Photography.
This Monday came around and Brian , my coursemate from the course at Wolverhampton University, had organised to meet Wooden Dog for a photo shoot at the BIMM Live Rooms.
I used a day holiday from work to go and be an assistant at a photo shoot in the Wolverhampton School Of Art for the Black Country Chamber Of Commerce magazine, Prosper.
Last Saturday night our Shrewsbury Photoclub headed for a bridge in Monkmoor to make some photos using light painting techniques bein gdemonstrated by two of the group.
Today’s seminar was to discuss Ethics in Photography and how it impacts all of photography including the photographer, subjects, publishers and wider world.

This time it’s Studio Portraiture using the brief of “Fictions Of The Self” where we were to find a portrait painting and reimagine it using photography in the university’s ample studios.
Last studio workshop of the semester and it saw us share our images with each other and the Digital module team, whilst they showed us their images of the year 2100.
